Marja Nykänen has been a Member of the Board of the Bank of Finland since 1 February 2017. Marja Nykänen is responsible for financial market issues, macroprudential policy, statistics, legal affairs, financial and personnel administration as well as security and property management issues. She is responsible for the risk control of investment activities and monetary policy as well as the financial stability process. Marja Nykänen is a member of the Economic and Financial Committee (EFC) of the European Union. She is also responsible for the activities of the Financial Supervisory Authority, where she is Chairman of the Board.
